    Job Description

    Job Description

    Job Description

    We are looking for Insurance Underwriters to process insurance proposals with insurance companies and arrange to issue insurance policies for the clients.

    Industry Type:

    Work & Responsibility:
    • Review insurance proposals and seek to improve terms.
    • Properly Assess and analyse the client’s background information.
    • Participate in continuing education courses to remain knowledgeable and competitive in the industry.
    • Use professional techniques and strategies to calculate the risk associated with client policies.
    • Review insurance claims and terms to determine the amount to be paid out by the company.
    • Designate and prepare insurance premiums based on informed judgment and competitor pricing.
    • Organize meetings with specialists to help determine risk assessment in unique circumstances.
    • Layout and finalize insurance policies applying specific terms and conditions as agreed upon by the client.
    • Ensure all policy documents are in order and are reaching the clients within an agreed time period.
    • Need to Co-ordinate with all the Sales, CRE & BDO teams, support them with illustration/ quotations/ logins/ issuance, etc.
    • Acknowledges PoSPs & Sales Team by responding to emails, texts, and phone calls.
    • Deals any customer query complaints and resolves the issue as necessary in respective TAT.
    • Studying the client’s existing portfolio and consulting the client in managing risks involved in the existing transactions, the portion of risks to be insured.
    • Doing gap analysis of the existing policies, suggesting better terms, and negotiating the same with the insurers.
    • Working with Operations teams to get all the bookings done in the system. Ensure all the documentations and the reinsurance documentation is complete.
    Technical Skills:
    • Underwriting Knowledge, MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
    General Skills:
    • Strong Analytical Skills, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Good networking skills and relationship management skills.
    • Strong communication/presentation skills.
    Experience:
    • 1- 2 years of Domain Knowledge & Experience in Insurance Companies/ Insurance Broking companies preferred.
    Qualification:
    • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
    • Strong math and analytical skills are essential to complete job requirements successfully.
    • Strong computer skills and ability to use necessary software.
